The most stressful parts of being Mother of the Bride or Groom

No one tells you that one of the most stressful parts of being Mother of the Bride or Groom is finding something to wear.

Not because you don't care but because you care so much.

You want to feel elegant. You want to feel comfortable. You want to look like yourself.

And you want your daughter or son to look back at wedding photos in twenty years and see a mother who looked confident, happy and completely at ease.

After helping women prepare for one of the biggest days of their lives, I've learnt something.

Women don't struggle because they don't know what they like. They struggle because the fashion industry has largely stopped designing occasion wear with them in mind.

As our bodies change, our priorities change too.  Most women aren't looking for higher splits, plunging necklines or the latest trend. They are looking for something elegant.  Something flattering.  Something that feels like them.
Then comes the pressure.

You'll be in family photographs that will be treasured for years. You'll be meeting new family members. You'll be greeting guests.

You'll be standing beside your daughter or son on one of the biggest days of their life. Finding the right outfit suddenly feels like a huge responsibility.

And after all that... You'll probably only wear it once. But at Lois & Co we take away that pressure immediately. Being able to hire the perfect outfit is such a relief for so many women.

I have also realised something else.
Women don't come to Lois & Co looking for a dress.
They come looking for confidence.  The right outfit simply allows them to stop worrying about what they are wearing and start enjoying the celebration.

When they find it, you can almost see the change.
Their shoulders relax. They smile differently. They're no longer thinking about their dress. They're thinking about making memories and that's exactly how it should be.

They won't be auditioning. They will arrive.
